Renée Théobald nails the canvas onto the chassis.
The 1950's
Théobald, reluctantly left-handed, painted with both hands.
She bound, pasted, and prepared her canvases. When she
painted, she would clean her knife on a blank canvas, and her
background paint would prime her upcoming compositions.
